Karting around!

I’m not an adrenaline junkie… I don’t go seeking to jump off things, be thrown around by a rollercoaster or dragged at the back of a boat… but one thing I do love is the thrill of speed…

I remember going to Warmbaths (now called Bela-Bela) on weekends away with my Grandparents when they were here from America, and being able to ride the go-karts around the open aired course. Being able to drive myself around and go fast with the wind in my hair! So much fun!!

So why not take the kids, go on a first date, or a celebration!! Find your need for speed 🙂

Green Mamba Adventures

Last week it was the beginning of the school holidays, so as per normal my little 7 year old cousin comes over for a few days, this time we decided to adventure to Sci Bono and the Body Works expo in Newtown, Johannesburg. Now if you know me, I’m very dramatic.. So town for me was like conquering Mount Everest but instead of a snow pick and boots, I had beautiful ankle boots in black and a lime green scarf – we have to conquer our fears fabulously you know! Before we left my Mom said ‘I hope you find something to write about in your blog’ and oh boy did I!! Driving down Miriam Makeba street, I saw a sign and said to my Aunt it says ‘WARNING SMASH AND GRAB ZONE’ a second later at a robot a man decided he loved my Aunts gold necklace more than she did, however clearly he was intoxicated or not a pro in the business because he left empty handed and I was left with a heart attack, but no fear I had a nice new heart waiting for me at the Body Works expo. Lesson is if you see a sign listen to it…. Sometimes God sends them in very blatant ways!

Sci Bono was an absolute blast though, 4 floors of experiments for big kids and little kids, and the Body Works…. Well let’s just say it was interesting…. And the hearts were plasticised so I didn’t get to replace mine.
